Giving Back
As part of CMR’s dedication to making a positive impact, and in lieu of sending gifts at year-end, we have donated to two Calgary-based charities close to our hearts.
Discovery House provides transitional housing and care for families with children escaping domestic violence, focusing on helping children heal from trauma to live their best lives.
The Calgary Food Bank is the city’s main charitable food hub, is a critical lifeline for individuals and families facing crises, working tirelessly to fight hunger through accessible support and partnerships. We are proud to stand with these organizations and to do our part to strengthen our community.
CMR is proud to be a Hype Sponsor for Branch Out Neurological Foundation at this year's Branch Out Bike Tour at the Panorama Mountain Resort.
The Branch Out Neurological Foundation is a Canadian charity founded and based in Calgary, Alberta. They accelerate tech solutions and alternative approaches to neurological disorders, including research projects focused on Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Autism, Depression, Multiple Sclerosis, Concussion, and Epilepsy.
The Branch Out Bike Tour is an extraordinary annual event, playing a pivotal role in raising over 3M in donations for the Branch Out Foundation. With more than 300 riders of all levels, over 50 dedicated volunteers, and support from 30+ sponsors, it’s a weekend like no other.
CMR were proud Mulligan Sponsors at this year’s 6th Annual Golf Scramble fundraising event, co-hosted by Fort McMurray 468 First Nation Economic Development and Group of Companies. This tournament is a key fundraiser that provides vital financial support for programs and services benefiting Nation Members.
Through the Nation's Community Wellness Services, individuals receive mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness support. This year’s event raised an outstanding $58,000—topping last year’s total of $35,000! We’re thrilled to have supported the tournament and our client’s success!
CMR was honored to support Discovery House again this year by sponsoring its She Is… Breakfast Event, featuring keynote speaker Manjit Minhas. The discussion was engaging and profoundly meaningful to our CMR team, which is passionate about celebrating women’s achievements and the power of coming together to #InspireInclusion.
Since 1980, the Discovery House has been providing critical support for women and children fleeing domestic violence in Calgary. By collectively raising awareness and investing in our communities, we can help create a safer, more inclusive future for everyone.
As part of CMR’s commitment to helping make a positive impact in our communities, we regularly partner with non-profit community organizations that align with our values to offer complimentary services to support their efforts.
This fall, we teamed up with the Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society, by providing pro bono consultation and design services to create the sponsorship package for their holiday production, Bear Grease Christmas Special.
The Society was formed in 2012 to transfer Indigenous knowledge through story and use contemporary arts and performance to educate, entertain, and forge relationships across cultures and generations.
Bear Grease features an all-Indigenous cast with their humorous rendition of the musical Grease, with an added Christmas twist for the holidays. The show has been playing to sold out theatres in Canada and the U.S. since it launched in Edmonton two years ago. The show will be playing in Calgary for three shows only, December 21st and 22nd at the Flanagan Theatre in The GRAND.
