Carolyn Moore-Robin

Principal and Founder

Since 2006 when she established CMR Consulting Inc., Carolyn has continued to demonstrate strong strategic, analytical and professional competency. She is a team leader who is energized through taking a collaborative approach. A creative and innovative problem solver, she is dedicated to providing value to her clients and delivering tangible results. Carolyn has successfully counselled clients across various sectors in the areas of strategic planning, corporate governance, communications, issues management, stakeholder engagement, and Indigenous community planning, consultation and inclusion. 

Drawing on more than 35 years of national and international experience in extractive industries including oil, gas and mining, her client base continues to grow to include a broad range of industries, governments, private sector and not-for-profit organizations. Carolyn is passionate about everything she does and is motivated and driven in all areas of her life. 

When she is not working, Carolyn is “living her best life” through volunteering, spending time with family, having fun in the outdoors, and enjoying good food and wine. 

Carolyn holds a Public Relations and Communications Management Graduate Certificate from Royal Roads University, Geology Certificate from SAIT, and an Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy Certificate from MIT Sloan. She has extensive training in Stakeholder Engagement, Crisis Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility, Media, Leadership and Facilitation. She is an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society and International Association for Public Participation.

Debi Noseworthy

Principal

Debi brings over 38 years of expertise in Supply Chain Management and a deep commitment to advancing Indigenous business growth. Debi has spearheaded Indigenous business development initiatives, collaborating with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous companies to drive business expansion and create value beyond monetary transactions. During her tenure leading Indigenous business development teams, she successfully implemented enterprise-wide strategies resulting in spend growth. Backing the obligation of corporate Canada to meet the demands of Call to Action #92, is an area that Debi has deep knowledge in and can support companies to fulfill as an imperative of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Debi is passionate about working with Indigenous companies to strategize and enhance their business growth, while also advising non-Indigenous companies on effective engagement practices.

Her contributions extend beyond business, including participation in national panel discussions and contribution to various reports on sustainability and reconciliation efforts.

Debi holds professional certifications in logistics and freight forwarding and has been involved in industry associations such as the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association, Calgary Women in Energy, and co-founder of Women in Logistics.

Gillian Norton

Project Coordinator

A dynamic Communications and Marketing professional, Gillian brings a strong foundation in storytelling, audience engagement, and strategic communication. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Communications from the University of Calgary, along with a certificate in Indigenous Studies from the University of Alberta, strengthening her ability to support meaningful and informed engagement with Indigenous communities. 

Gillian thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments where adaptability and initiative are essential. She has experience developing and executing internal and external communication strategies, creating engaging digital content, and enhancing organizational visibility through SEO and performance tracking. Her work spans website development, social media strategy, communication systems, and brand-aligned visual design. 

Known for being proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in getting the message right, Gillian focuses on creating work that resonates with people while aligning with broader organizational goals. Outside of work, she stays inspired through an active lifestyle, reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Ange-Aimée Quesnel

Sustainability & Community Engagement

Ange-Aimée specializes in Indigenous relations, Indigenous economic development and partnerships, community engagement, sustainability reporting, and strategic planning, supporting Indigenous Nations, Indigenous-owned businesses, industry, and government clients across Canada. 

Her experience spans the energy, mining, forestry, infrastructure, and agriculture sectors, where she helps organizations build meaningful partnerships, align business objectives with Indigenous priorities, and develop practical strategies that create long-term value.  

Known for her collaborative approach and strong project management skills, Ange-Aimée works closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that are strategic, actionable, and grounded in relationship-building. 

She holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of British Columbia. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, with additional training in facilitation, strategic planning, Indigenous relations, cultural awareness, and trauma-informed practice. 

Outside of work, Ange-Aimée is actively involved in professional and community organizations. She serves on the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the organization Calgary Women in Energy and regularly contributes to initiatives that support inclusion, mentorship, and professional development within the energy sector. 

Laura Weibel

Laura Weibel

Indigenous Knowledge Holder

Laura Weibel is a Cree First Nation, native to the Treaty 8 region in Northern Alberta. Drawing on her experiences as a native woman, her studies at the University of Alberta in Native Studies and over ten years working with Indigenous communities, Laura has dedicated her time to sharing her knowledge with social workers, City of Calgary Police Services, and First Nations health centers, to name a few. She currently manages the Youth Program at The Riel Institute for Education & Learning, a program dedicated to educating and providing work experience training for Indigenous youth. Laura teaches everything from Indigenous studies and Canadian history to addictions, employability, and cultural awareness training.

Laura, a grandmother of nine, is very active and enjoys being outdoors, hiking, skiing, and gardening. She is also an artist who spends her time beading, making moccasins, and various pieces of her Indigenous art.

Heather Gallant

ESG Data Analyst

Heather Gallant has over 14 years of experience in the environmental and energy industries. With extensive experience with environmental site assessments, facility and pipeline applications, and environmental monitoring programs she is an excellent complement to the CMR team.

She has worked on large facilities as the lead site environmental specialist and specializes in Greenhouse gas quantification and analysis, including compliance obligation and credit generation modeling. Heather prides herself in pragmatic and cost-effective solutions grounded in practical experience.

Heather is a member of the Canadian Environmental Domestic Advisory Group (CEDAG), with ten selected experts across Canada who advise the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada on environmental matters as they pertain to international trade.

Alexis George

Social Media Specialist

Alexis thrives on finding new ways to attract, engage, and inform audiences through social media platforms, in a world that is technologically changing every day. 

With a background in media and sales, Alexis started her career with a group of small community newspapers in her home province, Manitoba, before moving to Calgary to join the Calgary Sun as an account executive. She was responsible for over one million dollars in annual advertising revenue and won multiple sales awards, working primarily with the automotive industry.    

After raising her family, Alexis re-entered the marketing world, providing social media consulting services to a variety of businesses. Alexis graduated from Lethbridge Community College with a diploma in Communication Arts, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations.   

In her free time, Alexis enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, travelling, and horseback riding.

Alex has a Master’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management and nearly 23 years at Suncor Energy. He has built his career at the intersection of commercial strategy, supply chain leadership, and value creation, navigating some of the most complex procurement and logistics environments in the Canadian oil and gas sector.  

Spanning across roles in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Field Logistics, and Market Intelligence, Alex has led cross-functional teams, structured large-scale EPC and services contracts, and managed the supply of critical materials, including specialty and commodity chemicals, developing the sourcing tools, processes, and supplier relationships that drive long-term competitive advantage. 

A meaningful part of his career has been devoted to Indigenous economic development. Alex has worked closely with many communities, facilitating introductions to proven industry partners and helping build sustainable commercial opportunities that create real, lasting economic benefit. Alex brings a direct, relationship-first approach to everything, whether structuring a complex category strategy, negotiating a major contract, or helping a community find its footing in a demanding industry. 

When he is not working Alex enjoys travelling to visit his daughters, golfing, watching football (soccer) and spending time in the mountains.

Angus Cockney

Indigenous Engagement

Angus is an Inuvialuit (Inuit) from Canada’s Arctic with a deep understanding of Canada’s Indigenous cultures and governance frameworks across the country. He brings strong knowledge of the relationships established through the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (1984) and the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement (1999), as well as the broader context of Canada’s relationship with First Nations through Treaties and the Indian Act. Angus recognizes how these frameworks shape land and resource development, including Indigenous rights and the legal duty to consult.  

With over 25 years of experience as an Indigenous Engagement Specialist, Angus has worked extensively in the energy sector across western and northern Canada, navigating complex regulatory environments and fostering meaningful relationships between industry, government, and Indigenous communities. His broader social impact experience spans the country, including work with Correctional Service Canada and serving as an appointed Board Member of the Aboriginal Healing Foundation. 

Angus brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work, including his experience as a 13-year Residential School survivor, which continues to inform his perspective, resilience, and commitment to reconciliation. He loves sharing his Indigenous culture through arts (sculpture) and has travelled the world on personal and group exhibits. Living in the Rockies also inspires Angus to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors.

Sonya Earle

Indigenous Workforce Development & Engagement

Sonya is a strategic workforce development specialist with over 25 years of experience building the partnerships, programs, and funding pathways that connect Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members to meaningful employment. Driven by emotional intelligence, she excels at removing systemic barriers to entry and creating sustainable routes into the workforce. 

Throughout her career, Sonya has stewarded major Relationship Framework Agreements, including seven corporate Community Agreements within the Oil & Gas sector. Her strategic foundation in labour relations was sharpened at the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Earlier leadership roles driving community engagement, organizational development, and operations at YMCA Northern Alberta, alongside work with Infinity Métis Corporation, cemented her expertise coaching and mentoring youth into employment and apprenticeships. 

Now based in Calgary (Treaty 7) after 32 years in Treaty 8 territory, Sonya holds specialized Queen's University IRC credentials in Labor Relations Foundations, Managing Unionized Environments, and Building Trust in the Workplace, alongside an Applied Arts diploma in Education alongside. Her professional development is further enhanced by training in Executive-Level Effective Communication & Feedback, Executive Emotional Intelligence Coaching, Verbal Judo, and Indigenous Awareness and Canadian History of Indigenous Peoples. 

Outside of work, Sonya recharges by rafting the Bow River, walking local trails, reading, and attending live concerts. Alongside her husband, she loves traveling to warmer destinations and exploring BC wine country, while never missing a chance to catch a Dodgers baseball or Edmonton Oilers hockey game. Deeply committed to supporting youth development, her family proudly gives back to their community by hosting and billeting aspiring hockey athletes.

Spencer Moore

Technology & Media Solutions

Since shifting to contracting in 2015, Spencer has established his reputation for providing an vast array of high quality technology-related products. His achievements include developing custom websites for dozens of companies, designing a wide variety of branding material and documents, constructing a mobile-accessible intranet for a large multi-site company, facilitating successful email marketing campaigns, producing videos for both education and promotional purposes and providing technical support for established businesses.

Spencer maintains a strong focus on collaborating with clients on each project to produce results that best fit the purpose, flow of information and project deadlines. He is constantly learning about new innovative products and software to ensure our clients are provided with the best support available and opportunities for adapting new technology.

Barry Morrissette

Video Director, Producer, Photographer, Technologist

Barry’s diverse projects range from developing the Indigenous Awareness E-learning platform for ConocoPhillips Canada to Travel Alberta’s Online Travel Agent Portal and E-Zone Networks, North America’s first large-scale interactive television system. Barry has worked and consulted with Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, and Walt Disney Studios on film, special effects, commercials, documentaries, and interactive applications projects.  

Engaged in developing Indigenous Digital Sovereignty Platforms (IDSP), Barry is focused on bringing internet access and STEM learning opportunities to remote Indigenous communities while expanding possibilities for Indigenous youth. He has received several awards and accolades over the years and works with non-profits, finding ways to utilize social enterprise to help sustain various organizations. 

Barry produced an award-winning short film called ‘Coming Home’ with the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona, where he brought together a film crew of Indigenous youth to direct and produce the short film. Barry believes what he does is about passion, and not about the work. He sees value in giving back and helping others grow. He is always thinking and reflecting, guided by nature, and the passion to capture stories and moments while always embracing new experiences.
